A Momentary Eclipse
A Momentary Eclipse and the fabulous Sunshiners…….
April saw the Sunshine Team running A Momentary Eclipse as a fundraiser for South African furbabies.
I have always loved animals and with rescue being in such a desperate state, I decided we needed to try and help a bit and Eclipse was born.
The pattern was run as a mini CAL in the Sunshine group and all proceeds from pattern pre sales and sales through out April were donated to Rainbow Warriors South Africa and The Kitten Cottage Rescue Centre.
What made this all so extra special was the amazing spirit of giving in the group. My fabulous Sunshiners not only raised a staggering R21 000.00 (Just over $1500.00 US) through group members purchasing extra patterns but we also managed to gift over 300 patterns within the group. Don’t you just love doing two good deeds at once!!
Claire Helen Bouw used a beautiful soft colourway from Nurturing Fibres, this gives her Eclipse such a lovely, romantic, girly feel.
I absolutely love the variegated yarn that Rhonda Flynn used in her gorgeous cushions, gives the pattern such a fun and funky feel.
Mary Catherine Cooke came up with this beautiful colourway and I adore her splash of Sunshine.
Gill Land decided that cutie Dakota needed an Eclipse blankie.
And for its sheer fabulosity, how seriously gorgeous is Bettina Anderson’s Eclipse blanket. Bettina worked the Eclipse pattern and then used The Sunshine Mandala pattern to create her stunning blanket.
Definitely pop into the groups photos to see some more gorgeous creations.
Thank you to all you amazing people who helped us raise funds for the furbabies.
