The Sunshine Mandala Bag

The Sunshine Mandala Bag was designed as a special thank you to all the fabulous crochet queens around the world who participated in my Sunshine Owl CAL. This makes a great project bag, especially if you’re like me who carries my wool everywhere I go!!! The squares can also be used to make up an afghan and the centre mandala square looks fabulous as a centre for the Sunshine CAL.

The Sunshine Owl Blanket

I was browsing through Pinterest when I saw the Owl Pot Trivet from Zelna Olivier of Zooty Owl. I thought it would make a super cute blanket and the Sunshine Owl was born. Zelna has very kindly allowed me to use her design as the inspiration for this afghan.

This afghan is a splash of vibrant colours because I love rainbow blankets – you can’t look at them and not feel happy. As I worked through the blanket, I chose a number of different stitches to add variety and simply because they were cool stitches to use….hope you enjoy making this blanket as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.

The Sunshine Mandala Blanket

I wrote this pattern as an alternative to the Sunshine Owl. While I was running the CAL on Facebook, I designed The Sunshine Mandala Bag as a bonus pattern for those who had joined the CAL. The centre of the bag and Sunshine blanket pattern made a really pretty combination and so the Sunshine Mandala Blanket…….
You can either end your blanket at 120x120cm or 155x155cm, I will be including two different borders for the two respective sizes.
